Distillate, Live Resin, Live Rosin, and D9 projects can use similar-looking empty hardware, but appearance alone does not confirm a suitable match. Oil inlet size, ceramic configuration, resistance, output, activation method, filling conditions, and the buyer’s own formulation all need to be evaluated together.
This guide compares the D59, D52, D50, and D19 empty concentrate devices for buyers selecting hardware for these four mainstream formulation categories. It explains what is already confirmed about the hardware and what still requires a sample test before mass production.
Start With the Formulation—Then Verify the Hardware
The product name on an oil does not provide a complete hardware specification. Two Distillate or Live Resin formulations may behave differently because viscosity, additives, filling temperature, storage conditions, and production methods vary. Live Rosin and D9 projects also need model-specific evaluation rather than a universal cartridge claim.
For a useful recommendation, send the formulation category, approximate viscosity if available, filling temperature, filling equipment, target capacity, and expected quantity. QQVape can then narrow the hardware route, but the final approval should come from testing the selected empty device with the buyer’s actual formulation and filling process.
Four Formulation Categories Commonly Evaluated
Distillate
Distillate projects should be reviewed by viscosity and filling conditions. The inlet openings must feed the ceramic structure consistently without assuming that every batch has the same flow behavior.
Live Resin
Live Resin hardware selection should account for the actual formulation and processing conditions supplied by the buyer. Sample evaluation is necessary before the device, output setting, and filling procedure are locked.
Live Rosin
Live Rosin projects can place different demands on oil flow and filling compared with a generic test medium. Hardware should be selected from measured requirements and trial results, not from the oil name alone.
D9
D9 projects follow the same hardware-review process: confirm viscosity, capacity, heating configuration, filling conditions, device settings, and destination requirements. QQVape supplies empty hardware only and does not sell or fill D9 formulations.
D59, D52, D50, and D19 Comparison
| Model | Capacity | Battery | Resistance | Oil inlets | Activation | Positioning |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| D59 | 2mL | 260mAh | 1.8Ω | 4 × 1.5 mm | Draw-activated | Screen-equipped compact model and recommended starting point for feature-to-cost balance |
| D52 | 0.5mL / 1mL | 250mAh | 1.4Ω | 4 × 1.5 mm | Draw-activated | Slim 14.0mm-wide format with three output settings |
| D50 | 1mL / 2mL | 250mAh | 1.4Ω | 4 × 1.5 mm | Draw-activated | Wider all-in-one body with two capacity options and three output settings |
| D19 | 2mL / 3mL | 380mAh | 1.4Ω | 4 × 1.5 mm | Draw-activated or button-activated | Higher-capacity route with two activation methods and three output settings |
All four are established shipment models with repeat commercial use. Their shared four-opening inlet format does not make them interchangeable: capacity, body format, resistance, battery, voltage options, and activation method still change the project decision.

Why D59 Is the Recommended Starting Point
D59 is the first model to review when a project needs a compact 2mL device with a screen and a strong feature-to-cost balance. The screen gives buyers an additional visible feature without moving immediately to the larger D19 format, and the 2mL tank covers a common project capacity.
The recommendation is commercial rather than universal. D52 may be a better fit when a slim 0.5mL or 1mL format is required. D50 provides 1mL and 2mL options in a wider body. D19 is the appropriate comparison when 2mL or 3mL capacity, a 380mAh battery, and both draw and button activation are priorities.
Previous Product Testing and Buyer Evaluation
During product development, the factory tested the D-series hardware in Thailand because relevant concentrate formulations were available there for evaluation. The tested hardware configurations passed those application tests.
This refers only to testing previously completed during product development. It does not mean that QQVape provides a Thailand testing service, can arrange project-specific testing there, or will supply a corresponding laboratory report or certificate with each order.
Formulation composition, viscosity, filling temperature, equipment, capping process, and storage conditions can vary between buyers. Customers should therefore evaluate samples with their own Distillate, Live Resin, Live Rosin, or D9 formulation before approving mass production.

MOQ, Neutral Packaging, and Custom Production
- Total MOQ: 10,000 units per model.
- Color split: normally at least 2,000 units per color.
- Standard packaging: neutral small white boxes.
- Artwork support: packaging dieline available for the customer’s design.
- Payment: 50% deposit and 50% balance before shipment.
- Supply basis: EXW China; freight is paid by the buyer.
When materials are ready, standard colors with neutral packaging normally require 7–12 days after the deposit is received. This route does not require artwork approval.
Custom color or custom packaging normally requires around 15–18 days after artwork or CMF confirmation. The exact production schedule is confirmed with the quotation.
What to Send Before Sample Evaluation
- Formulation category: Distillate, Live Resin, Live Rosin, or D9
- Approximate viscosity and filling temperature, if available
- Required capacity and preferred model
- Filling and capping equipment
- Estimated quantity and color split
- Logo and packaging requirements
- Destination country and required documents
Sample availability, sample fee, quantity, and timing are confirmed for the selected model. The sample stage should be completed before approving color, artwork, packaging, and mass production.

QQVape supplies empty hardware only. It does not sell or fill CBD, THC, D9, Distillate, Live Resin, Live Rosin, nicotine, or e-liquid formulations. Buyers are responsible for confirming formulation, filling, labeling, import, product, and destination-market requirements. Hardware suitability must be verified with the buyer’s own formulation before mass production.
